The Bird Island

Chidiya Tapu (literally "Bird Island") is located 25 km from Port Blair at the southern tip of South Andaman. Known for its rich birdlife, mangrove forests, and arguably the best sunset views in Andaman.

Over 46 species of birds recorded including: - Andaman serpent eagle - White-breasted kingfisher - Andaman woodpecker - Parakeets and hornbills - Migratory birds (November-February)

1. Biological Park

Small zoo showcasing endemic species: Andaman wild pig, saltwater crocodile, spotted deer.

2. Munda Pahar Beach

Secluded beach with black sand and interesting rock formations.

3. Sunset Point

The main attraction - watch the sun dip below the horizon with nearby islands silhouetted.

4. Nature Trails

Well-marked trails through tropical forests with viewing hides for bird watching.
