Climate Overview
Andaman has a tropical climate with three distinct seasons:
1. Summer (March to May)
- Temperature: 24°C to 37°C
- Weather: Hot and humid
- Sea Conditions: Calm, excellent for water sports
- Pros: All activities operational, good deals on accommodation
- Cons: Can be uncomfortably hot, peak humidity
2. Monsoon (June to September)
- Temperature: 22°C to 35°C
- Rainfall: Heavy (2000-3000 mm annually)
- Sea Conditions: Rough, many water activities suspended
- Pros: Lush greenery, fewer tourists, lowest prices
- Cons: Limited activities, ferry cancellations common
3. Winter (October to February)
- Temperature: 20°C to 30°C
- Weather: Pleasant, dry
- Sea Conditions: Calm to moderate
- Pros: Perfect weather, all activities available
- Cons: Peak season, highest prices, crowded
